Abraham (Abe) Paregian - born the youngest of three children to parents John and Bertha Paregian in Philadelphia, PA on 2/28/31 passed away peacefully in his home on June 12, 2024 at the age of 93.
Abe graduated from Roosevelt High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree at Fresno State and thereafter was employed with the State of CA., Dept. of Transportation as a civil engineer until his retirement in 1994.
Abe found joy through his many interests and friendships. Snow skiing, running, hiking, bicycling and daily workouts at the gym were all part of his normal activities. He loved socializing with his many friends and enjoyed traveling.
As a loyal fan of the Fresno State Bulldogs, he served as Trustee on the Bulldog Foundation and rarely missed a game.
He was an active member of the National Ski Patrol volunteer system at China Peak for over thirty years where he earned the title of "Shish Kabob King" for his annual Saturday night refresher program dinners. He enjoyed cooking for others and was often called upon to cook for groups.
He is survived by his spouse Marjorie Paregian, his brother Sam Paregian, his sister-in-law Carolyn Petersen and predeceased by his sister Agnes Morjig. Abe is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
Abe was a good and honorable man with a beautiful spirit and will be deeply missed.
Private graveside services will be held at Masis Ararat Armenian Cemetery.
