Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Alain Patton, who died peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the age of 59 on January 23, 2025. Alain was born to Samuel and Jeanne Patton on July 21, 1965, in the small town of Rosières-en-Haye, France, just 200 miles from Paris.

Alain was known for his dedication to his beautiful wife and junior high sweetheart of 46 years, Julie, his family, work, soccer, and his unwavering love for Jesus. Alain was a master relationship builder with clients and colleagues for over 33 years as a Sales Manager with Weyerhaeuser. His colleagues remember him for his professionalism, strong work ethic, and unwavering support for the team. Alain spent his childhood and young adult days powering through on the football field. After high school, he played collegiate football for the University of Puget Sound, where he spent two of those years as the football team captain. During these years, he earned the nickname and is known by many as "Choo-Choo." His leadership and passion on the football field made him a fierce sales leader, an even better father, and a soccer coach to all three of his girls, along with hundreds of other young ladies in the Central Valley. His legacy, love for Jesus, smile, warmth, sense of humor, moves on the dance floor, and kind spirit touched all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and the love he shared with his family and friends. Alain is survived by his wife Julie of 35 years of marriage; 3 daughters- Alicia (43), Anessa (35), and Alexa (23); sons-in-law, Peter Montoya and Dominic Aragon; 4 grandchildren- Austin (17), Peyton (15), Aliya (5) and Axton (1), sister Gisele Patton, nephew and niece Shey and Tatiana Patton and their beautiful families. He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Jeanne Patton.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 7, 2025.

Alain's memory will live in the hearts of those who loved him, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
