Born on June 15, 1928, in Fresno, California, Albert was the son of Epimeñio and Maria Rios. A lifelong resident of the Central Valley, he proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Following his military service, he attended Fresno City College, where he earned an Associate of Arts degree in Automotive Engineering.
Albert was a hardworking and versatile man who took pride in every job he held throughout his life. His career included work as a mechanic, an independent contract truck driver, and Head Gardener at Fresno West Golf Course. He later spent many years with Mendota Unified School District, working in maintenance, groundskeeping, and custodial services until his retirement in 1990.
On September 14, 1957, Albert married Margarita Riofrio. Together they shared 56 years of marriage and built a life grounded in love and family.
Albert was known for his strong work ethic, quiet determination, and love for his family. He found joy in gardening and spending time outdoors. His yard was a constant work in progress, as he was always planting, pruning, rearranging, or dreaming up his next project. Whether watering his plants or tending to his garden, he found peace and satisfaction in caring for the things he loved.
An avid learner, Albert had a lifelong curiosity and a remarkable thirst for knowledge. He enjoyed reading and learning about new discoveries in science, technology, health and the environment. He also enjoyed trips to local casinos, which provided both entertainment and a welcome pastime.

One of Albert's most treasured expressions reflected the love he felt for his family. He once told his wife, "I don't have a lot of money, but I feel like a millionaire with all my family." He leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, and caring for one another through life's joys and challenges.
Albert took great comfort in prayer. Among his favorite prayers were the Our Father, the Hail Mary, and the Anima Christi:
Soul of Christ, sanctify me. Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, fill me with love.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O Good Jesus, hear me.
Within your wounds hide me.
Never let me be parted from you.
From the evil enemy, defend me.
At the hour of my death, call me
and tell me come to you
That with your saints I may praise you
forever and ever. Amen.
Albert's life was a testament to hard work, lifelong learning, and unconditional love for his family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
