Alice Dorothy Mulligan returned to the Lord on December 25, 2023, in time to celebrate Christmas with her late husband, Fred Stephen Mulligan Jr.

Alice was born June 26, 1925, in Kerman, CA, to Ingeborg Olivia Strid and Albert Frederick Soderberg. After elementary school in Madera County, Alice graduated from Selma High School in 1943, before attending Four C's College in Fresno. Fred and Alice were married October 30, 1947, and lived in the home they built on the Mulligan Farm in Selma. With their marriage, Alice became and remained a devout, faithful and active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Alice and Fred spent 69 years together farming and lovingly raising six children who survive them, while holding a special place in their hearts for daughter Joyce Marie, who died shortly after birth.

Surviving children are Colleen Kay Merickel (Mark), Fred Stephen Mulligan III (Susan), Joseph Edward Mulligan (Michele), Michael Scott Mulligan (Paula), Daniel Ray Mulligan (Lisa) and Barbara Mulligan Watson (Jack), who provided them with numerous, rambunctious grandchildren and great- grandchildren, all who relished Grandma Alice, Grandpa Bud and life on the Farm.

Alice is preceded in death by her only sibling, brother Howard Soderberg. She enjoyed her many pets, including collies, cats and Sammy, the squirrel monkey. Friends and family have many pleasant memories of Alice hosting "coffee time" with sisters-in-law, weekend barbeques with all the family and "wine time"  and get-togethers before dinner. The family would like to thank her caregivers, for their love and support.
