In loving memory of Anna Lea Dyer, who passed away peacefully at home on May 5, 2026. She was surrounded by her loving family in her home up until her death. Anna was born on July 15, 1938, in the small town of Tarkio, Missouri, to Walter and Leta Rackley, who predeceased her. 

Anna’s life was a testament to love, kindness, and unwavering dedication. She was the beloved wife of Don Dyer whom she was married to for seventy years. Together, they built a life filled with laughter and love until Don's recent passing. Anna’s devotion to her family was evident in her every action, most profoundly felt by her surviving children, Diane and Jerry (wife Diane) Dyer; grandchildren Dawnielle (husband Jason) Serrano; Damon Dyer; Jeremy (wife Alysse) Dyer; Janelle (husband Cory) Hastings; great grandchildren Danika and Jacob Serrano; Aiden, Declan and Charlotte Dyer, Sawyer and Trinity Hastings. They will carry forward her legacy of compassion and strength.

 Anna’s early years were marked by a spirit of adventure, as she attended schools across Missouri, Idaho, and eventually Fresno, California. As a teenager, she worked alongside her parents in their cherished family establishment, "Anna Lea’s Café," in Fresno, where she first learned the art of hospitality. This is also where she met the love of her life and future husband.

 Anna and Don moved the family to the country, just outside the small town of Fowler, in 1964. Anna enjoyed long horse rides near their home on her horse “Honey.” She also enjoyed taking her motorcycle for a ride and often took her friends for a spin. Not only did Anna like watching sports, but she played on a softball team with her daughter and coached by her husband. 

Anna had many pets throughout her lifetime, but her beloved dog “Roxy” occupied a special place during her later years. She was a faithful companion and Anna’s heart was broken when she had to say goodbye a few years ago. 

Her professional journey was one of dedication and impact, having worked various jobs until she found her true calling in working with children. Anna devoted over 33 years working at Marshall Elementary School in Fowler and Pacific Union School in Easton, retiring in 1999. Her colleagues and the students remember her as a friendly, kind-hearted and patient person who always put others before herself. 

Anna’s faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was an active member of the Fowler Baptist Church, where she served diligently as Treasurer for many years. Her commitment to her community extended beyond the church walls; she was a guiding light as a 4H leader during her daughter’s youth and contributed her organizational skills as the secretary for the Fowler Fall Festival Parade. 

She was a quiet spectator at countless sporting events for her children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren with unwavering support. Anna’s presence was a source of encouragement, making her their biggest fan. 

Known for her selfless, caring, and loving nature, Anna welcomed everyone into her home with open arms, making them feel special and cherished. Her even-tempered demeanor, nonjudgmental attitude, and generous spirit were complemented by a delightful sense of humor, endearing her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

 Anna leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, a true testament to the life she lived. Her memory will be honored at a service on May 18, 2026, at 9:30 AM, at Fowler Cemetery and a celebration of life at the Fowler Worship Centre at 10:30 AM. 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Anna’s memory to Animal Compassion Team. 

Anna Lea Dyer's life was a blessing. She is loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
