Antonio passed away peacefully in his sleep, in the loving care of his daughter, who watched over him lovingly until his last breaths.
As a young man, Antonio along with his brothers, worked traveling throughout the states of Florida, Alabama, Texas & California working in the agriculture industry picking cotton, strawberries and other agricultural goods.
Antonio's true passion was music, playing his guitar, as well as fishing. He handed these pleasures down to his children who carry on his legacy.
Antonio is pre-deceased by his father, Jose Abelardo Atkinson; mother, Angelita Tijerina Atkinson; brother, Abel Atkinson; brother, Samuel Atkinson; and sister, Maria Angelica Atkinson.
Antonio is survived by his brother, Jose Abelardo Atkinson and his sister, Margarita Atkinson. His five children; Connie Atkinson, Antonio Atkinson, Jr., Patty Galindo, Moises Atkinson, Louis Abelardo Atkinson, and his eight grandchildren; Elvira Jazmine Aguilar, David Alan Aguilar, Alexis Amparo Aguilar, Samantha Aguilar, Gianna Amparo Aguilar, Dayana Rose Galindo, Kenia Itzel Galindo, and Sofia Rose Atkinson.
