Barbara K. Sanchez

Death: December 13, 2023

Born to John and Christine Sanchez, Barbara was the middle of 3 children and a lifelong
resident of Fresno. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and worked for the IRS
until her retirement in 2009. After retirement Barbara began taking Christmas and event
photos with, and later in place of, her brother, John, until 2021. Known for her friendly
personality and genuine kindness, she made friends EVERYWHERE she went, keeping
those friendships for years and even decades. She enjoyed going out for meals with
friends and family, the beach, vacationing in Santa Cruz, and of course watching the San
Francisco 49ers!
Barbara was a loving, caring and genuine, daughter, sister, aunt, godmother and friend.
She was loved by many and will be missed by even more. She is preceded in death by her
parents, older brother John and younger sister Kathleen. She is survived by her niece
Jordan Forward-Sanchez of Ventura, her long term boyfriend Tony Ramirez of Fresno,
her aunt Inez Amparano of Pinedale, and many cousins, friends and friends who became
family.
