It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bertha D. Rodriguez, who entered into eternal rest on June 10, 2026, at her home in Lemoore, California, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on December 15, 1935, in Calexico, California, and lived a life defined by faith, devotion to family, hard work, compassion, and service to others.

Bertha was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank S. Rodriguez; her second husband, Richard Boyer; her beloved daughter, Julie D. Rodriguez; her parents, Alfredo and Julia L. Daniel; and her siblings, Alfred Daniel, Gloria Daniel Gonzalez and Mary Ellenor Sígala.

She is survived by her loving children, Frank Rodriguez, Patricia Simon, Cristina Rodriguez, and David Rodriguez; her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Irene Daniel Garcia, Barbara Daniel Chavez, Lucia Daniel Lopez, Elizabeth Daniel Gonzalez, Mary Helen Nelson, Carlos Daniel, Rachel Daniel, and Nancy Villegas, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.

As the oldest of twelve children, Bertha helped her mother raise her younger brothers and sisters, developing a nurturing spirit and strong sense of responsibility that would guide her throughout her life. At the age of sixteen, she married Frank S. Rodriguez and began building a family of her own. Together they raised five children, who became the center of her world.

Bertha will be remembered for her unwavering work ethic, compassionate heart, and willingness to help anyone in need. While devoted to raising her family, she also built a distinguished career through hard work and determination. Her professional journey included roles as a restaurant cook, cashier and retail clerk, teacher’s aide, Employment Development Department representative for the State of California, Administrative Assistant at Avenal State Prison, and ultimately Supervisor at Corcoran State Prison. Her success in such diverse positions reflected her intelligence, adaptability, and dedication.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Bertha was a talented seamstress who lovingly made clothing for her children. She took pride in caring for her family and creating a warm and welcoming home. Her kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

After retirement, Bertha embraced new joys, including ballroom dancing, where she found friendship, happiness, and countless treasured memories. She enjoyed spending time with family, celebrating holidays, attending family gatherings, and sharing laughter with those she loved most.

Bertha’s life was a testament to faith, perseverance, and unconditional love. She faced life’s challenges with grace and strength, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished, the values she instilled, and the countless lives she touched through her kindness and generosity.

Although our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing that Bertha’s love, wisdom, faith, and beautiful spirit will remain with us always. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, service, and devotion that will continue to inspire generations to come.
