Beverly was born April 6th, 1938 in Waterloo, Iowa. She was 86 years old. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gust and Vernita Block, her brothers, Jim Block, Larry Block and her husband, Gene Lewis.

Beverly was the oldest of four children. She met Gene at Open Bible College and they were married for 59 years.

She became a licensed cosmetologist after college and worked in her mother's beauty shop for many years. She did the bookwork for Gene's business. She and Gene taught a young married Sunday School Class for 23 years at Peoples Church. Beverly headed up the Peoples Church Boutique for 25 years and worked with Dorcus to make quilts for single mothers and teen homes.  She enjoyed playing Bunko with the 'Bunko Babes'  every month.

Beverly was creative, crafty, detailed and loved to work in her yard. Her beautiful yard is filled with flowers and she could tell you details about everything in her yard.

She loved Jesus. She read her Bible daily, never missed a sermon at church and always turned to God for wisdom, comfort and direction. She was an example of praying and giving things over to Jesus.

She enjoyed her family immensely. She loved her sister-in-laws very much and they were considered her sisters.

Throughout her life, Beverly touched the lives of many with her unwavering kindness and compassion. Her home has always been open to host holidays, birthdays, office parties, youth groups and tea parties. She was great at welcoming and loving people into her home and feeding them a good meal. Friends and family gathered regularly at her home and made lifetime memories

Beverly will be remembered as a woman of God. A peacemaker, a faithful servant, a lover of flowers and crafting.

She is survived by her four children, Mark Lewis, Kathy Medina (Glenn Medina), Steve Lewis (Rebekah Lewis) and Sherilyn Bamford (Todd Bamford). She has 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is survived by her brother, Rick Block and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
