Bonnie Nachtigall, aged 94 went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 22, 2026. She was born on June 21, 1932 in Fairview, Oklahoma, the daughter of Herbert and Minnie Schwalk. She was married to Ed Nachtigall in 1950. Bonnie was a devoted wife and mother to her family who resided in the Fresno, California area since 1953. She loved serving in her church as well as playing and teaching piano.

Bonnie enjoyed antiques, vintage clothing, tea parties, and her kittens. She served many years as a docent of the Meux home in downtown Fresno, as well as participating in the Sunnyside Garden Club. The church was a vital part of her life, whether it was teaching Sunday school, serving as a youth sponsor, playing piano, or sewing quilts for charity. It was not uncommon to find visiting missionaries or guests staying at her home. She loved the service of her Heavenly Father, and it showed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ed Nachtigall.

She is survived by three sons, Kelly (Kathy) Nachtigall of Fresno Ca, Terry Nachtigall (Jennifer- deceased) of Nipomo Ca, Gerald (Sheryl) Nachtigall of Clovis Ca; one daughter Marcia (Bill) Frank of Arroyo Grande Ca, eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sister and their families, Shirley (Phil-deceased) Terronez of Schlumburg TX, Norma (Ray) Woods of Cleo Springs OK, and Judy (Dennis) Dans of Shreveport LA.

A memorial service in her honor will be held at Bethany Church, 9161 N. Maple in Fresno, Ca. on August 14th at 11:00 a.m.
