Byron Wayne Dipple was born July 10, 1950.

Byron attended Wasco High School, but graduated from Bullard High School in 1968. He attended Columbia Christian College in Portland on a full ride scholarship for basketball and baseball. At CCC, he met the love of his life Carolyn Ann Jackson.  Byron proposed to Carol in the Summer of 1970 at Fresno State. They were married December 19, 1970 at College Church of Christ in Fresno and were married for 53 years.

Byron had many life experiences working as an electrician, farmer and truck driver for Talley Transportation, Valley Grain and Oldland.

Byron loved life and music. He was happiest playing drums and dancing to tunes of his favorite bands like Creedence Clearwater Rival. Byron played drums in local valley bands Crimson and Ivory and the Sunflowers. He enjoyed trying to make you guess a song and who sang it. He loved teasing his grandkids by calling them chumps and having donut wars. His favorite line was "Come on Coach, put me in the game." Besides loving his family, he enjoyed sitting on the front porch of our family cabin at Central Camp and keeping track of the kids' heights on the cabin pantry door.

Byron was a past member of Madera's 20-30 Club. He coached many Little League Baseball teams and youth Basketball teams. Byron was an avid sports spectator and loved his Fresno State Bulldogs. He also kept track of the Franklin Christian Academy sports teams and watched their games online.

Byron was a member of the Sunset Avenue Church of Christ in Madera, where he attended for 45 years.

Byron is survived by Carol, daughter Stacey Bohlke (Terry), daughter Erica Binford (Jared), three grandchildren Daniel Bohlke (Rosalie), Trevor Bohlke (Ally) and Savannah Bohlke and great grandson Jackson Bohlke.

He is also survived by his siblings Steve Batti (Connie), David Batti (Jenee), Bruce Batti (Wendy) and Laura Batti (John).

He is preceded in death by his parents George Dipple, Edith Coe, Hazel Dipple and Bob Coe and his brother Russell Dipple.

Byron's physical body passed from this earth on January 21, 2024 in his home. His last week on earth he was surrounded by friends and loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Sunset Avenue Church of Christ in Madera. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions to made in Byron's name to Yosemite Bible Camp. Donations can be mailed to:

Carol also enjoys plants she can plant outdoors at home or the cabin.
