In Loving Memory of Carlos A. Blanco Jr.

September 15, 1946 - August 3, 2026

Carlos A. Blanco Jr., aged 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 3, 2026, after a hard-fought battle with COPD. Born in Phoenix, Arizona, to Carlos Abril Blanco Sr. and Carmen Garcia Blanco, Carlos lived a vibrant, full life defined by deep devotion to his family, principled character, and an unshakeable joy for life.

 A proud U.S. Navy veteran who honorably served his country during the Vietnam War, Carlos carried the values of discipline, organization, and integrity throughout his life. After working in various professions, he spent over two decades managing apartment complexes until his well-deserved retirement. 

Carlos was truly the life of any party. With an infectious smile and a warm, magnetic personality, his positive energy instantly brightened every room he walked into. He never spent a day without loved ones around him. A man who cherished simple pleasures and unforgettable moments, Carlos loved to travel—especially to the beach, where you could almost always find him soaking in the coastal air and enjoying fresh seafood. At home, Carlos was the ultimate host. He took great joy in cooking and firing up the BBQ, always surrounded by family and friends. You could routinely catch him unwinding with a round of Hot Shots Golf, cheering passionately as a die-hard Las Vegas Raiders fan, or enjoying a good drink, whether sharing shots or sipping on a ice-cold beer with those he held dear.

Carlos was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos Sr. and Carmen, as well as his siblings Andrew, Monica, Rosemarie, and Roy Blanco. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Frances L. Blanco; his five children, Cindy Alpert, Cathy Blanco, Carlos Blanco, Crystal Blanco, and Andres Blanco; his brothers Manuel and Rodolfo Blanco; his sister Martha Mendez; 14 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unbreakable family ties that will continue to inspire all who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, his vibrant spirit, principled strength, and radiant smile will remain forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
