It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Casty S. Caudillo on July 18, 2024, at the age of 81. Casty was born on August 10, 1942, in Anaheim, California to the late Jose Caudillo and Maria Santellano.

Casty attended Washington Union High School and later served in the United States Army. After the Army, he went on to earn his degree in ornamental horticulture, before starting his career at California State University, Fresno where he worked until retirement. His adventurous spirit and love of learning propelled him to travel the world and embrace new cultures. He loved cycling and was an avid golfer, even earning a coveted hole in one trophy. After retirement, he went back to his first love of gardening and spent everyday tending to his immaculate yard. He was a devout Catholic and attended many pilgrimages throughout the world. Above all else, he valued the importance of family.

He was preceded in death by brothers Dario and John Caudillo, sisters Jessie Moreno and Nellie Kaniski, and both his parents. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Mary Caudillo, his brother Joseph Caudillo, sisters Amelia Garcia and Grace Reyes, daughters Trish Herrera and Erica Armstrong, sons-in-law Kevin Knight and Thomas Armstrong, and grandsons Christopher Knight, Max Knight, and Thomas Armstrong.
