Celia Sanchez-Kuhn, (also known as Sally) a beloved sister, aunt and step-mother, passed away on October 11, 2024, at the age of 99.

Celia was born to Jesus and Josefina Sanchez on May 22, 1925. Born and raised in Pinedale, California, Celia was number four of seven siblings. From an early age Celia worked as a farm worker alongside her mother and siblings in Fresno County.

Celia graduated from Roosevelt High School. She eventually attained a position as a receptionist to Dr. Bradley, whose practices were performed within the Community of Pinedale. Celia continued her education at Fresno City College where she pursued a degree in Education earned her teaching credentials.   Celia became an inspiration to others as an advocate for mentoring disadvantaged students, and a positive mentor to numerous students throughout her teaching career.

Celia met Theodore (Ted) Kuhn while walking to secure her mail, and it wasn't long before the two fell in love and were married.  They both had a deep love for travel, especially to Pismo beach, and a strong passion for playing golf.

Celia was a passionate supporter of the Community of Pinedale and her family.  She was always a hit at social and family gatherings due to her unique wit and charming ability to make people laugh. She was devoted to her dear friends (the 90's group) consisting of Pat, Delfina, Mabel, the driver for the group, Delfina's daughter, Kathleen, and her close friend, Burgis.

Despite facing recent health challenges, Celia's positive spirit and unwavering faith in the Lord remained her constant. Her resilience and optimism touched everyone she met.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Theodore Kuhn, siblings; Reynaldo Sanchez, Lucy Villegas, Eduardo Sanchez, Rudolfo Sanchez, Amb. Phillip Sanchez and her dear friend Robert.

Her loving memory will live on in her sister Lilia Mayorga, step-daughters, Karol Kuhn, Kimberly O'Neil, and Sharon (Dave) Mosebar, numerous nieces, nephews and step grand-children.

Celia will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, strong work ethic, and her community. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, kindness and service.

Special thanks go to the Doctor's (especially, Dr Randhawa) and the Nursing Staff at St. Agnes Hospital for their tremendous support and care; as well as the staff at The Terraces at San Joaquin Gardens who were instrumental for the care and support to Celia.

Thanks goes to Veronica Mayorga who always provided constant support to Celia.
