Charles David Green
October 14,1943 – January 31, 2026
Charles was born to Bedie D and Classie Mae Green in Ada, Oklahoma on October 14, 1943.
Charles was one of ten children. "Charlie" traveled the world during his Navy service and throughout the US, starting at a very young age when his family left Oklahoma – working hard alongside his mother and siblings, all the way to California. Charlie spent more than 50 years in the Fresno area, the last 20 here in Selma, CA near his children. Charles was adored by his grandchildren and great- grandchildren, who enjoyed visiting, discovering new things and spending time with him.
Charlie is survived by siblings Dianne Martin, Richard Green, Danny and Joanne Green, of Oklahoma. His children, Melody Berlinski, Robert Berlinski, Michele & Robert Garza II. His grandchildren, Nicole Starling, Kristen and Anthony RW Garza III, Michael and Raquel Mathison,
Kayla Broadway. His great grandchildren, Elizabeth "Bettie" Hutson, Michael ARW Garza IV, Aria Garza, Marilyn & Nevaeh Mathison.
Our Patriarch, our Beloved Papa, and the Legendary Charlie Green left his earthly body behind and was welcomed by the angels on January 31, 2026. The world will not be the same.
A proud Navy sailor who quietly enlisted one month after seventeenth birthday, and again a few years later for a second commitment enjoyed two full term enlistments with honorable discharge and a commendation resulting in the awarding of a bronze star. He spent the rest of his life moving the Earth with his honesty, integrity, loyalty and a John Deere backhoe as an owner/operator for 50+ years. Some would say he was an Angel on our planet, his family would agree. He will be missed by all who knew him.
