Cheryl D. Cagle, 73, of Madera, California, passed away on May 31, 2026, surrounded by love.

Born in Murray, Utah, to Jack and Dolores Boberg, Cheryl grew up alongside her brothers, Larry and Gary Boberg. Her childhood was filled with family, faith, and friendships that lasted a lifetime — including her cherished childhood best friends of more than sixty years.

Cheryl married Richard L. Cagle, and together they built a family rooted in love. She was the devoted mother of Jennifer (Don) Kloster, Shannon (Darren) Pahl, and Payte (Kari) Cagle. She was the proud grandmother of Donovan Kloster, Andrew Pahl, Aubrey Sanders, Ashlyn Sanders, Traycen Harris, Corey Kloster, Macy Cagle, Parker Cagle, and Linkin Cagle. Her beloved dachshunds, Bailey and Sadie, were also part of her heart and home.

Family was everything to Cheryl. Her love language was creating — especially the quilts she stitched with care for her children, grandchildren, and friends. Each one was a gift of warmth, comfort, and the quiet message she always carried: you are loved.

Cheryl worked for many years at FMC in Madera in administrative support later joining the Madera Housing Authority in Human Resources. She retired at age 62, remembered by colleagues for her steady work ethic, kindness, and the way she treated everyone with respect.

A woman of deep compassion and unwavering faith, Cheryl was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many auxiliaries over the years. She shared her testimony through her actions — listening without judgment, offering comfort, and showing up for others in quiet, meaningful ways.

Cheryl loved sewing, quilting, baking cookies to share with family and friends, and spending time with her grandchildren. She taught her granddaughters how to knit, crochet, sew, and bake — passing down not just skills, but memories they will carry forever. She made people feel loved and appreciated, and she will always be remembered for her warmth, her gentle spirit, and her enthusiastic use of exclamation points.

Cheryl is survived by her children, grandchildren, brothers, extended family, and many friends whose lives were brightened by her presence. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Richard.

Services will be held in Sandy, UT at a future date and location; details will be shared with family and friends once arrangements are finalized.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
