Christopher (Chris) J. Rigby passed at his home in Fresno California of natural causes on June 26,  2024. Having committed his career to environmental resource management, he was working as  a Resource Management Specialist for the Bureau of Reclamation of the Department of the Interior and also as a responder for FEMA.

He traveled extensively during his life, from Africa, to Europe, to South America and was always  planning his next trip. His love for travel was surpassed only by his love of the outdoors; he was  an avid runner, biker, hiker, camper and fisherman.

He was born in Washington, DC and graduated from Lawrence University and the Yale School of  Forestry and Environmental Studies.

He is survived by his mother, Nancy D. Rigby; his father, Richard N. Rigby, Jr; his sisters Nancy  (Nan) F. Rigby and Elizabeth (Betsy) T. Rigby; and four nephews and two nieces.

A celebration of his life will be held on his next birthday, November 20th, 8:00 p.m. EST, on-line.
