Fresno
Darold Scott Dennis known as Scott was born on December 13, 1947 in Canton Ohio. His parents were Howard J. Dennis and Pauline Louise Biggam Dennis. He grew up bowling with his family and friends at his uncle’s Bowling Alley. Since he was a paper boy in his youth, he sold papers in the stadium when the Football Hall of fame had their first opening game. He graduated from Lincoln High and went on to Kent State. He then joined the Navy and was stationed at Lemoore Naval Base for four years. He went into Fresno to go dancing with friends and it was there he met his future bride, Lucille Jensen. On leaving the Navy he finished his degree at Fresno State. Scott & Lucille married in 1972 and had two sons, Christopher and Craig.
Scott started his career as an auditor for the state. He ended his career in accounting being the controller for five food plants in three states for Rich Products. His perk of this job was when he had to visit the eastern states he fitted in a side trip to visit his Dad and brother in Ohio.
His love for barbequing inspired his sons to be great cooks.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dean in Ohio. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Lucille, son Chris and his wife Lillian and grandson Raylan and son Craig and his wife Amanda and grandson Jase. He is also survived by his sister in law Carolyn and nieces Jillian and Jessica and nephew Nathan and their families in Ohio.
