David Allen III, lovingly known as Dave, was born on January 1, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan and died on April 22, 2026, in Fresno, California.

He moved to California with his mother and sister, attended Lutheran Parochial School and Blackford High School, and began working at Pallachi’s Pizza Parlor as a young man.

Dave attended San Jose City College and married the love of his life, Carolyn Marie Luna, in 1965. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service.

He founded Allen’s Pool Service and Supply in Santa Clara, serving the community for more than 40 years. Dave was active in the Pool and Spa Association and served as President of the Santa Clara chapter of IPSSA, where he enjoyed mentoring and teaching new technicians.

Later in life, Dave and Carolyn moved to Fresno to be closer to family. Dave was a devoted Christian who loved God and loved people. He often said, “Not perfect, but not for lack of faith!”

Dave is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Allen, his son David Allen IV, his son and daughter in law, Ron and Jaime Allen, his sister Dee Dee Allen and his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Amanda, Nic, Brandi, Carissa, Kailiah, Olivia, and Judah.
