Obituary

We are sad to announce the passing of David Anthony Dorian, age 73, of Selma, California. On Saturday, March 2, 2024, David passed away unexpectedly in his home with loved ones after a recent heart surgery. A Celebration of Life for David will be held at Kings River Golf and Country Club on Tuesday, May 14, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm; please join us anytime during the Celebration of Life gathering.

David was born on June 9th, 1950 in Selma, California, to Rosemary and Leon Dorian. He loved spending time with his friends in the great outdoors and found joy in various athletics including cycling, swimming, fishing, and more. David embodied quintessential Selma. He was well-known for his leather work, his love of driving fast cars, especially Alfa Romeos, and his beloved downtown loft home. David loved Selma, and devoted himself to caring for his family's legacy in Downtown Selma started by his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Kevork Khatchadourian (Dorian). He watched over the family's legacy including the land in Fresno's downtown area known as Little Armenia belonging to his Grandfather and Grandmother Baronian. David loved his children, family, and friends. He was proud to be Armenian and loved his mother's cooking dearly.

He is survived by his children, Thomas, Jennifer, Katharine, and Elizabeth Dorian (and their partners), his granddaughter, Anoush Rose Dorian Wheeler, Shushanek Silvas, his dear friend and the mother of his daughters, and his sister Joyce Grover and family. David has joined his parents and brother Michael in eternal peace.
