With the Grace of Faith, the Gratitude of Memories, and a Great Deal of Sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Matriarch to our family – Delfina Rodriguez. Our beloved beloved “Bita”, Delfina lived her entire life with her whole heart.
Delfina was born to Maria Sonier and Juan Martinez in Houston, Texas on Christmas Eve Sunday, 12/24/1933. At the impressive age of 92, she passed away due to congestive heart failure.
She is preceded in death by her Husband of 55 years, Fernando R. Rodriguez, Sisters - Julia Toscano and Martina Calles, and Son-in-Law Mehdi Ebrahimzadeh.
She is now survived by her Daughters Annette (Robert) Ackerman and Rachel Ebrahimzadeh, Grandchildren - Lida (James), Yalda (Tommy), and Farzad (Rebecca). She also leaves behind 6 great-grandchildren. Delfina’s devotion and trust in our Lord Jesus Christ, was paramount to her daily life. Only to be closely followed by her dedication and love to her family. Through constant prayer and sheer determination, she worked diligently to ensure the salvation of those she held most dear; along with strangers alike. After supporting her family as a Mother, a Guardian, and a Wife, she then gave much of her life to Millbrook Presbyterian Church of Fresno, serving both as a Deacon and volunteer in the Food Pantry. Now, with almost a century of service to others, Delfina has entered our Heavenly Father’s Embrace. She passed away surrounded by family, knowing her spiritual legacy has been woven in those who passed through her life, and continues to be seen in her great-grandchildren.
We want to thank Wilma (Corazon Care Home) and her staff, especially Tapz, for their loving care of Delfina in her latter days. We are grateful to Robyn from Vitas Healthcare (Hospice) for helping to manage Delfina’s comfort.
We want to honor Delfina’s passing and praise the Lord for His unending faithfulness in her life. A Service and Celebration will be held:
