Delwyn D. Creed "Del" July 1, 1941- February 26, 2025

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Delwyn D. Creed (Del) on February 26, 2025, at the age of 83 in Selma, California. Del is predeceased by his father Ewell W. Creed; his mother Gladys M. Creed; and his daughter Cheri Y. Sedar. He is survived by his devoted wife and partner of 45 years, Violet Elaine Creed of Selma, CA; his son, Bryan D. Creed (Kristi) of Oakhurst, CA; his daughter's Casandra E Griffin (James) of Springfield, KY and Carla R Livsey of Porterville, CA. He is also survived by his granddaughter's Heidi A. Creed (Ian) of Des Moines, WA; Bethany Creed of Scottland; Leann Carlton of Dunlap, CA; JoDawn Bacon (Jason) of Evening Shade, AR; and Cheyenne Carlton of Parlier, CA; grandson's Bryan E. Creed(Lindsie) of Fresno, CA, Nicholas Sloss of Tucson, AZ and Michael Benedict of Tucson, AZ and one great grandson Braxton Bacon of Evening Shade, AR.

Del was born and raised in Selma, California. He enlisted in the Army National Guard in 1963 and served his country for six years. His commanding officers would often wager on his abilities, and he consistently emerged victorious in shooting contests. Throughout his life, Del pursued a career as an Electrician and dedicated himself to the family ranch. He traveled extensively throughout California and Nevada, installing sound systems and alarm systems in various establishments, including prisons, churches, and casinos. Once, he was working on Cher's come back show sound system, she popped her head over the front and talk to him for almost an hour and he didn't even know who she was, work always came first.

Del, a man known for his reserved nature and unwavering dedication to his family and his passion for the outdoors, found solace in various activities such as motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and travel. While he possessed several hobbies, firearms held a special place in his heart, leading him to become a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association. He was born into a loving family of cousins, aunts, and uncles. He grew up on the family ranch and learned very fast not to say he was bored. His most cherished possession was his Selma, California ranch.

In his youth, Del bore a striking resemblance to Elvis Presley, but as he matured, his appearance resembled Kenny Rogers. However, unlike Presley and Rogers, Del never possessed a vocal talent. He held a deep affection for Weimaraner dogs, and throughout his life, he owned numerous canine companions, sharing his final years with his girl, Sugar.

Del's memory will endure deeply in the hearts of his family, friends, and those who had the privilege of knowing him. The family expresses its profound gratitude to Bethel Lutheran Homes for the exceptional care they provided during Del's final days.

A viewing service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Page Funeral Chapel in Selma, California. The funeral will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 9:00 am, followed by a graveside service at Floral Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at Tuscan Gardens at 12:00 pm, located at 13176 S. Madsen Ave., Kingsburg, CA 93631.
