Dennis L. Atkins, 72, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 4, 2024,
in Fresno, CA.

He was born on January 23, 1952, to Paul and Betty Atkins in Lindsay, CA. He was the second
of four boys. In his early childhood, the family relocated to Clovis.

He grew up working with his father and three brothers in the family Drywall business. He also
worked with his family to run the Atkins Clovis Arena for nine years, a roping arena which was
located across from the Clovis Cemetery on Herndon and Villa Avenues. He continued in
construction for over 40 years, where he worked in many different types, including drywall
installation, carpentry, cabinet and furniture making (which he greatly enjoyed), and later,
computer-aided truss design.

It was at the family arena that he met Sherry, who would become his wife. They were married in
1973 and enjoyed 50 wonderful years together. They welcomed one son, Jordan, in 1981.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, and his brother Daryl. He is survived by his wife Sherry,
his son Jordan, and two brothers, Dan and Derek. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews,
cousins, friends, and church family.
