Dolores Helen Armi Hartsell, age 93, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026, in Clovis, California. She was born on October 29, 1932, in Madera, California, to Pietro and Helen Armi.

Dolores was raised with strong family ties and a deep sense of dedication—values that guided her throughout her life. After graduating from high school, she pursued her passion by attending beauty school, which led to a long, successful, and fulfilling career as a hairstylist. Through hard work, talent, and determination, she went on to own and operate two thriving salons, earning the respect and admiration of her clients and community.

She lived life on her own terms, dreamed boldly, and overcame many obstacles with strength and grace. Dolores was known for her independence, resilience, and unwavering commitment to those she loved.

On May 12, 1956, she married Loren Ray Hartsell. Their time together was tragically cut short by his untimely death on April 11, 1958, at the age of 30. Despite this profound loss, Dolores continued forward with courage and perseverance.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Loren Ray Hartsell, and her younger daughter, Lauren Rae Matula, who passed away on March 25, 2015.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Spooner; her grandchildren, Joshua Spooner, Garrett Spooner, Nicolas Matula, and Felecia Mumm; and her great-grandchildren, Meleigha Cook, Trevor Mumm, Kadian Mumm, Emmie Spooner, and Madison Matula.

A celebration of life will be held March 7, 2026 at 12pm at 3571 N. Temperance, Fresno Ca. 93727.

Dolores Helen Armi Hartsell will be remembered for her strength, independence, entrepreneurial spirit, and enduring love for herfamily. Her legacy lives on through the generations she so deeply cherished.
