Dolores Marie
Patty
Jun 26, 1941 — Aug 14, 2025
Fresno
Our loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, Dolores Marie Patty, passed away on August 14, 2025. She is survived by her oldest son, William Lewis Patty and his partner Grace Findley, and her youngest son, Shawn Patrick Patty and his wife Gina Cuttone-Patty, her grandchildren Lyle Patty, Brittany Patty, Andrea Patty and her partner Matt Kissinger, Rebecca Hipp and her husband Robb Hipp, and Vito Cuttone, her great-grandchildren Josiah Patty and Gio Patty, and her brother, Johnny Pickford; and a host of extended family, cousins and cherished friends.
Dolores was born on June 26, 1941 in Fresno, California to her Mother, Ruth Marie (Mulvey) Pickford and her father, John Henry "Jack" Pickford. As a young woman, she joined the Navy to see the world, where she got as far as Memphis, Tennessee. There, proudly serving her country as a journalist, she met her future husband, Navy Boatswain's Mate Charles Leonard Patty. When she returned to civilian life she had two children, William and Shawn. As a young mother, Dolores worked as a dental assistant and a waitress but soon chose to enroll at Fresno City College and become a registered nurse. She worked as a R. N. for thirty years, mostly in intensive care, at Saint Agnes, Kaiser, and Veteran's Hospital in Fresno, California, where she earned Nurse of the Year honors and made friends for life.
Dolores enjoyed gambling, fishing, visiting with friends, eating, laughing, being silly, having fun, trips to the coast, and life, but what she loved was her family. She took every opportunity to share kisses, hugs, and time with all of us. She will be missed every day, and her laughs and love will always be in our hearts.
Graveside service for Dolores Marie Patty will be held with military honors on September 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
The family would also like to thank the caregivers at Serenity Homes for their love and kindness.
In Dolores' memory, remembrances can be sent to the charity of your choice.
