Donald Louis (Donnie) Marcelli , passed away on Saturday, April 6th, 2024 at Clovis Community Hospital following a 3 year long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Donald was born on November 13, 1951 at the old St. Agnes Hospital in Fresno, California. He was named after his uncle, Dominic Marcelli, who went by Don all through school, and his paternal grandfather, Louis Marcelli, and was affectionately known as Donnie by his family. Unfortunately, he was unable to meet his namesake, Don Marcelli, who was killed in the Korean war in February 1952. He attended Central Union High School and Fresno High School

On November 15th, 1969, Donnie married Susan Hall. They raised 2 daughters, Lisa Dawnelle Marcelli and Janette Marie Marcelli.

Donnie was a cement contractor for over 30 years and was the contractor of choice for many of the homebuilders locally and across the state. He was a perfectionist and took great pride in doing a "Class A" job.

Donnie is preceded in death by his parents, Angelo and Tessie Marcelli; his wife, Susan; his precious daughter, Lisa; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Donnie is survived by his daughter. Janette Marcelli, his grandchildren, Breanna Buchanan, Donovan (Alexis) Buchanan and Kayla Thomas; his great grandchildren, Kingston, Casey, and Bentley Warren, Melayah Marcelli, Willow Buchanan and Launte Barnes. He is also survived by his sister, Angela (Robert) Horn, nephew Jeffrey (Stacey), niece Kimberly (Ryan), and their children; numerous cousins; and aunt, LaVera Marcelli.

Cremation is under the direction of Farewell Funeral Service.
