Earl C. "Buddy" Vickers, 79, of Fresno, California, passed away in Fresno on January 11, 2026. Bud was a beloved husband, father and friend. Born on May 19, 1946, known affectionately as "Buddy," he devoted his life to coaching, teaching, and educating others, leaving a lasting impact on countless students and athletes.

Earl had a deep love for baseball, a true passion for teaching, and above all, a devotion to his family. He was a steady presence, a mentor, and a source of encouragement to all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth A. Vickers; stepdaughter Lisa Beck; son Brent Vickers; and his cherished grandchildren Riley Beck, Molly Beck, Cole Vickers, and Emmy Vickers. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and C.C. Vickers, and his stepdaughter, Sherri Vickers.

A celebration of life service will be held on February 20th at 10:00 a.m. at Well Church, Fig Garden Campus.

Earl "Buddy" Vickers will be remembered for his kindness, dedication, and the many lives he touched through his work and love for family.
