Edie was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Charles Dyer, Sr. and by her Sisters, Emily Ann Sederquist and Edna Jean Macdonald.

After relocating from Haverhill, MA to Fresno, CA in 1971, Edie was very active for many years with St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Fresno, CA and later with Clovis Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a member of the choir for nearly 50 years and served on several church committees. Edie was also very active with the United Methodist Women at both the local and state levels.

Edie was an expert seamstress and loved to sew for herself, her home and for others. She won countless awards for her sewing at the Big Fresno Fair.

Edie was artistic and loved to draw and sketch, oil paint and create pottery. She had enrolled in various art classes at Fresno City College.

Edie’s favorite pastime was ballroom dancing! She was a long-time member of the Big Band Society and was a member of the Moose Lodge in Fresno.

Edie worked for many years at Western Electric in Andover, MA, followed by a long employment at the Fresno Internal Revenue Service Center, from which she retired in 1998.

Edie is survived by her husband, Richard Fottrell, Half-brother Howard Sederquist Her children, Susan Bussean and Charles Dyer, Jr. Grandchildren Heather Ground, Laura Yanovsky, Terry Dyer and Kourtney Westfall, Great-Grandchildren, Katie Olsen, Kristina Olsen, Ella Yanovsky, Elizabeth Yanovsky, Leyland Westfall, William Westfall and Lincoln Dyer, Great-Great-Grandson Zachery Gutierrez.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Hidden Hollow Events in Reedley, CA
