Elizabeth "Betty" Catherine Lambert died peacefully at home in Fresno, California, on October 17, 2023, at the age of 91.

Betty was born on November 19, 1931, to Helen and Edward Eppler in New York. While growing up in Queens, New York, Betty could always be found at the local movie theater, watching the newest film more than once. Anyone who watched old movies with Betty would be treated to the history of every actor and actress. She treasured every memory growing up in New York - from her times in Catholic school, summers in Rocky Point, countless moments with family and friends, and meeting the love of her life at the Equitable, James Lambert.

Betty and Jim enjoyed 60 years of marriage. Their adventures began soon after their wedding when they moved to Tours, France, where Jim served in the Army during the Korean War. This was where the traveling bug bit them. They spent many years traveling the world and the United States (more than once) with many of those adventures in their family trailer and the "Honey." However, one of Betty's favorite destinations was Pismo Beach, where she could be found sipping her favorite white Zinfandel at the campsite.

Since her youth, Betty has been a devout Catholic. When she moved to Fresno, California, in 1983, Betty became a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. During her time with the Church, she was a faithful member of The Legion of Mary, serving in all positions. She was also the first woman Usher, wearing the red coat on Sundays with great pride. Betty's faith was always an essential part of her life, bringing her comfort until the very end.

However, her most important job in life was being the mother to her three sons - Christopher, Michael, and Douglas. She was the picture of a "neighborhood mom" with kids playing in her pool, drinking coffee with all the other moms, and participating in her children's extracurricular activities. Once her kids were old enough, Betty became a school bus driver, even continuing the career when she moved to California. This job brought more great stories to life.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband James Lambert, sister Nancy Mansfield, and her parents. She is survived by her sons Christopher Lambert (Susan), Michael Lambert (Becky), and Douglas Lambert (Toni). She also leaves behind her six grandchildren: Jaime Lambert, Jessica Lambert, Hannah Lambert, Hayden Lambert, Lauren Lambert, Alexa Lambert, and great-grandchild Mason Lomeli. Several nieces and nephews (including Diane Werner, Karen Strickland, and Eileen Kveton) and many loving friends were also essential parts of her life.
