Elizabeth ("Tomme") Nyberg, 91, passed away on February 17, 2026, in Clovis, CA.
Elizabeth Nyberg was born on April 26, 1934 in Los Angeles, CA, to Lawrence Jones and Rosora Jones.
Elizabeth graduated from Fresno High School in 1952 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fresno State University in 1957. She started her career as a Teacher and went on to work for ARC Fresno after retring from teaching.
Elizabeth married Lloyd Nyberg on November 19, 1955 in Fresno. The couple had 3 children, Darrell Nyberg, of Clovis, Rod Nyberg, of Clovis, Cindy Marlette, of Fresno.
Elizabeth was best known for teaching, missions and family.
Elizabeth is survived by Darrell Nyberg - son, of Clovis, Rod Nyberg - son, Cindy Marlette - daughter.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Rosora Jones, and sister Viola Niswonger.
The service for Mrs. Elizabeth Nyberg will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 11:00 AM at GL Johnson Chapel.
Visitation: Thursday, at 5:00 PM at Farewell Fresno - Chapel.
Burial: Fresno Memorial Gardens, Fresno, CA.
Memorial donations can be made in Elizabeth's name to Youth With A Mission (YWAM).

Notable interests, activities, hobbies, or passions: Career teacher, life-long learner, mission-oriented travel to various countries, avid love of the beach, loved family.
Memorable moments and achievements: Tomme was a career teacher for 20 years but her passion for teaching and training spanned her lifetime.
After the passing of her beloved husband, Lloyd, she grew in passion for teaching and training in the developmentally disabled community working with employers to open access for her clients have jobs.
In her sixties, she turn her talents and passion for ministry to Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and spent the next decade creating and developing curriculum for Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL).
Even in her later "retirement" years, she was often asked to teach bible studies in her retirement facility.
