Elmo Earthel Stroud, 88, of Selma CA, died on April 28, 2026.

He was born in Arkansas on August 20, 1937 to the late Edward and Vennie Stroud. He attended Mt Whitney High School in Visalia CA , then joined the military after graduation and served 4 years in the Navy. Shortly after, he began working as anInstaller for Western Electric Phone Company (later merged into AT&T) for 25 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, and going to many sporting events of his grandchildren. 

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marie Stroud; 5 children; Mike Stroud of Selma, Mona Gaynor (Garry) of Fresno, Margo Dean (Jerry) of Hanford, and Marla Gilmore (Darren) of Caruthers. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Stroud. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to their favorite charity. Services are being directed by Farewell Page Funeral Home.

 Graveside services will be held at Washington Colony Cemetery Monday, May 11th at 10:00am.
