Eugene "Gene" Janecko Jr., 73 passed away peacefully on October 13th, 2024. A devoted friend, mentor and inspiration to those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Gene was known for his fearlessness, protectiveness, kindness, and love for Chow Chows and shoes.

Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to protecting and helping others, whether through his work as a Painter, Teacher, USA Bobsled Brakeman, Police Officer, Fire Protection Design Manager, or District Manager he always offered himself to those in need.

Gene's infectious smile and protective spirit touched the lives of his friends and family.

He always believed in practicing the compassion of anonymously giving without expectation, and never self-seeking.

His legacy of kindness, love and protection will forever be imprinted on the hearts and minds of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Gene is survived by his wife, Evonne, three step-children, Chas, River, and Alyson;
Four siblings; Ray, Monica, Janet, Gerry (Yumary)
Eight Nieces and Nephews; Missy, Joe, Aaron, Jordan, Mackenzie, Ray, Sophie and Isabel, all who have added immense joy to his life.

A celebration of his life was held at a private residence on October 17th, 2024.

Gene's beautiful soul will forever be missed.
