Eugene Vernon Warner, 93 of Fresno, California passed away March 19, 2024

He was born in Flandreau, South Dakota on April 16, 1930 to George and Irene Warner.  At the age of 16, Eugene moved to California to live with his Aunt Pearl and attended Glendale Adventist Academy.  After enrolling at La Sierra College, he married the love of his life and wife of 64 years Darlene Van Deusen and started a family.  He went on to attend Loma Linda University School of Dentistry where he oversaw the first dental school convention and upon graduating in 1963, he moved the family to Calhoun Georgia where he practiced dentistry.  In 1967 the family returned to Southern California for a short time, and then moved to Lemoore, California where he purchased a dental practice.

In 1971 Dr Warner purchased another dental practice from Doris Hicks, DDS who had been practicing dentistry in downtown Fresno for 49 years.  Over the next 40 years he grew the practice into 6 locations with nearly 100 dental operatories and employing 165 staff and over 30 dentists and hygienists.  In 1983 he purchased a small business startup (Apollo Dental Products), which grew to become a nationally recognized dental equipment manufacturer.

Dr. Warner was a caring and giving person, whose strong support and boundless energy extended to many churches and educational institutions. A devoted husband and family man, he was always there to support and encourage his children, grandchildren, and other extended family members.

Preceded in death by his wife Darlene, and daughters Annette Louise Conley, and Roxanne Janine Warner he is survived by his children Martha Anne Warner, Koreanne Kim Warner, David Jay Warner MD, PhD, Eugene V Warner Jr, and three grandchildren Gene Conley MD, Kimberly Conley Boyko MD, and Connor Warner.
