Eugenio C Balanon

June 18, 1928 – February 10, 2024

Eugenion C Balanon 95 years old, went to be with the Lord on February 10, 2024.

He was born on June 18, 1928, to Eulalio and Gregoria Balanon in Binalonan Pangasinan, Philippines. He was the youngest of three children.

He is survived by his wife Filonila Balanon, and sons Alexander Balanon (Alex), Charles Balanon (Charlie), Robert Balanon (Robert), Edwin Balanon (Ed) and daughters Elizabeth Balanon Alcantara (Beth), Angelita Judith Balanon Anastacio (Judith) and Mary Jane Balanon Santos (Jane). He had 27 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He served as a US Veteran Scout and fought in Okinawa, Japan in early 1950. He is a retired 2nd Lieutenant from Philippine Air Force and served his country for 28 years from 1953 to 1981. He migrated to the United States and resided in Marina California in 1982 to 2001, relocated to Fresno until his final days Feb 10, 2024.

In his spare time, Eugenio loved working in his garden, planting vegetables and fruits. He influenced generations with his wisdom, humor and unconditional love.

He was a great father, a great grandpa, a great uncle, and a great friend to all. He is a God-fearing person who always goes to church every Sunday and prays his rosary every day. He taught us so many good values in life, especially going to church every Sunday. He welcomes everyone in his house who needs a place to stay. He is a loving father to all his children, that made us to be a good parent and spouse to our family.

He passed four months before his 96th birthday. He lived a long full life, and he influenced the lives of so many. He put his faith and his wish to his loved ones in Romans 12:10 "Love one another warmly as Christian brothers and sisters and be eager to show respect to one another'.
