Glendora Fern Burns Silvernaile, surrounded by family, peacefully went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on June 9th 2024.

Glen was born on July 19, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan, and is preceded in death by her parents John C Burns and Glendora Fern (Gotham) Burns, her sister, Ruth (Burns) Cebula (1993), her husband of 58 years, George Arthur Silvernaile (2005), her brother, Jack Burns (2015) and her brother, Donald Burns (2016).

Glen was the oldest of six children. She met George around the age of 12 and fell deeply in love by her teen years. They married in 1947 and raised a beautiful family together.

Glen is survived by her 4 children, Sherry Lynn Rayis, George Jack Silvernaile (Amanda), Kimberly Ann Morgan (Bob), Penny Kay Nicholas (Rick), her 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, her sister, Joann (Burns) Bowden and her brother, Richard (Dick) Burns.

Glen was indeed our little firecracker and never let the grass grow under her feet. Always involved and moving, she taught Sunday school at St. Paul's Church in Warren, Michigan, was a Girl Scout leader and an Eastern Star. George and Glen dedicated many years to their asphalt business in Warren, Michigan, and owned and operated The Floodwater Inn located in Hillman, Michigan, before moving to California, where Glen worked as a dispatcher for the Orange Cove Police Department, and finally as an expert herbalist at Dianne's Health Foods in Reedley, where she expanded on her healing skills. It was her fervent practice of herbal remedies and reflexology that contributed to the
health of her family, (especially George) and kept them thriving.

She and George made a good life for themselves and loved to travel. Their adventures spanned from Alaska to Central America and just about everywhere in between. They enjoyed spending time visiting family and friends along the way. When Glen wasn't traveling or "fixing" someone, you could find her listening to music, dancing and singing, or staying up all night reading a good book! She adored her family, especially the babies, and served our Lord Jesus Christ with conviction.

She never missed a school performance, graduation, birthday, wedding, christening or noteworthy event, and with so many grandchildren, from California to Michigan, that means she was one busy woman! Glendora never knew a stranger and could talk to high heaven about many subjects, while displaying an unforgettable smile that lit up the room.

Though George's passing left her heartbroken, she found comfort in attending her Red Hat ladies group, Bunko group, church group and packing gifts for our military service men and women. Her courage, strength, resilience and determination were truly an inspiration, not only to her family, but to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Parties, smiles, laughter and being around people is what Glen thrived upon. Her knowledge and traditions will shine on, with honor, for generations to come. She will be deeply missed and forever loved. May she rest in peace, on earth, and twirl with her one true love, in paradise.
