In Loving Memory of Hazel Ann McCracken
September 16, 1945 - August 31, 2026
Hazel Ann McCracken, 80, of Selma, California, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026, at 3:46 a.m. Hazel was born on September 16, 1945, in Tulare, California.
Hazel grew up in Goshen and Tulare before eventually making Selma her home. It was there that she and her husband, Chuck McCracken, built a life together. Their journey was not always easy, but through the years they shared a love that was uniquely their own.
Hazel was a loving mother to her children, Joseph McCracken, Chucky McCracken, Lee Pridemore, Ginger Phifer, and Terry Wood. She was also blessed with 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, who brought great joy and meaning to her life.
Hazel worked briefly as a maid at the Holiday Inn in Selma. She will be remembered not only for the work she did, but for the love, strength, and memories she shared with the people around her.
Hazel loved Jesus and eventually made her way back into the loving arms of her Savior. Her faith became an important part of her life, and she loved attending New Hope Family Church, where she especially enjoyed helping in the kitchen and serving others.
Those who knew Hazel will remember her for her strong spirit, her love for her family, and the special way she touched the lives of those around her. Though she is deeply missed, her family finds comfort knowing that she is now at peace and resting in the loving arms of Jesus.
"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants." - Psalm 116:15
Hazel's memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
