Jack Ray Litle was born on September 7, 1942, in Oklahoma. During that time, the Dust Bowl had devastated the region—bringing severe droughts, relentless dust storms, widespread crop failures, and farm foreclosures. Poverty touched nearly every family as the Great Depression tightened its grip.

With the promise of new opportunities brought by World War II's industrial boom in the Northwest, Jack's parents, Lula and Roy Litle, set out for Oregon, hoping for a brighter future for themselves and their three boys—Jack and his brothers, Billie and Leroy.

In Oregon, Jack witnessed firsthand his parents' tireless work ethic as they managed local motels. Their determination eventually led the family to Fresno, California, where they put down lasting roots.

Jack attended Central Unified School District, and from an early age, he worked to help support his family. He understood that achieving the life he envisioned would require the same dedication and perseverance his parents had shown. After graduating high school, Jack began his career in the sheet metal industry, working for New England Sheet Metal.

In the early 1970s, Jack's entrepreneurial spirit led him to a life-changing opportunity. When Al Roth decided to sell his small crane business, Jack seized the moment. Drawing on the equity in his first home and years of hard-earned experience, he made a unique offer—not only meeting Al's price but also promising to keep the Roth name alive. Impressed by Jack's integrity and vision, Al accepted, and Roth Crane was born—with Jack at the helm.

Over the next 45 years, Jack built Roth Crane into the largest non-union crane company in the Central Valley, helping to shape the region one project at a time.

When Jack wasn't pouring his energy into work, he was devoted to his family—raising his son Troy and daughter Tinian Litle—and embracing his many passions. He loved hunting, fishing, motorcycles, building and creating, and spending time with his friends at the Verdi Club. You could often find him at a local car show, chatting with friends and admiring classic cars, including his prized '71 Javelin. But above all, Jack cherished his role as "Pop."

In 2001, Jack met the love of his life, Susanne, and quickly knew she was the one. Just four months after they met, they were married. Jack lovingly welcomed her three children—Patrick, Kristopher, and Danielle—into his heart and family.

Jack lived an extraordinary life defined by hard work, loyalty, and love. His dependability, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Jack is survived by his beloved wife Susanne; his son Troy and daughter Tinian; his stepchildren Patrick, Kristopher, and Danielle; and 6 grandchildren Shea, Paige, Addison, Ryder, Grayson, and Riley.
