James Hulan Nash

September 6, 1934 – July 3, 2025

James Hulan Nash, age 90, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, in Fresno, California. Born on September 6, 1934, in Los Angeles, James lived a full and vibrant life marked by dedication to family, service, and a strong work ethic.

James began his career as a turkey rancher and later served as a manager at the Federal Land Bank, where his commitment and leadership were deeply valued. A proud Eagle Scout, James carried the values of integrity and perseverance throughout his life.

He served as an Air Cadet in the U.S. Navy and trained as a Top Gun pilot—an experience that remained one of his proudest achievements. Among the highlights of his military service was the thrilling accomplishment of landing a plane on a U.S. aircraft carrier.

Outside of work and service, James's passion for sports was evident. Whether playing tennis or baseball, or coaching his daughters' teams, he brought enthusiasm, skill, and mentorship to the field. Above all, James's greatest joy was providing for and spending time with his family. His life was a testament to hard work, discipline and strength.

James was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judy Nash. He is survived by his two daughters, Kathy Lowe and Lori Relph, and five cherished grandchildren and ten great grandchildren who will carry on his legacy with pride and love.

A memorial service will be held at New Hope Community Church, 4620 E Nees Ave, Clovis, CA 93611, on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with lunch to follow.
