John Douglas Saldaña peacefully departed this life on April 6th, 2025. John was at his home, surrounded by his family. He was 73 years old. John was born in Madera, Ca on April 14th 1951. He was a devoted father to his children and Papa to his grandchildren.

John is survived by his daughters, Karen, Krystle and Ashley Saldana. His grandsons, John and Louie Galaviz and Daniel Saldana. His son-in-law, Ignacio Galaviz. His brothers, Rogelio and Augustine Saldana and Nereo Calderon. His sisters, Maria, Elsie and Yolanda Saldana. John was preceded in death by his father Aurelio Saldana, mother Mary Medrano, brothers Raymond and Jerry Saldana and sister Teri Gonzalez. John had a great sense of humor.

April Fools Day was his favorite day to celebrate that sense of humor. He was a collector of coins and enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and the local casinos. John will be missed, but his legacy will live on through his family and friends.

A Rosary and Mass will be held on April 25th at 11am, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Services will continue immediately after at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery.

A celebration of life will follow at the home of Martin and Alejandra Gonzalez, located at 3512 W. Dudley Ave
