Fresno, California - Joseph Castiglione passed away in Fresno, California on October 7, 2024, to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 91.

He was born October 30,1932 in Fresno, California to Phillip and Jennie Castiglione. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wilma, and his two brothers, Albert and Peter.

Joe attended Edison High School where he met the love of his life, Wilma Hurst. She was the head majorette, and he played on the football team.

At the age of 13 he started working in the family grape packing business. He was a farmer at heart for 78 years. Even after retiring, he continued to drive around the ranches and check on them daily.

Joe was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and had numerous friends. He enjoyed driving his motor home and traveling with the Winnebago Club. His other hobbies included golfing, deer hunting, fishing, camping and taking trips to the coast with his family.

Joe is survived by his 2 daughters Susan and husband Larry Cooper, Sandra and husband Jim McNitt; 4 grandchildren Ryan Cooper, Reanna and husband Tommy Medina, Marissa and husband Devin Hawkins, and Lawson McNitt; 2 great-granddaughters Kaylee Cooper and Adeline Hawkins.

The Castiglione family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to all the doctors, caregivers, family, and friends who helped encourage and care for Joe.

Viewing at Farewell Funeral Service is scheduled for Wednesday, October 16th from 5:00 7:00 p.m.

Graveside service will be at Belmont Memorial Park on Thursday, October 17th at 10:00 a.m.
