Obituary

We mourn the loss of our beloved Kecia Gay Flores, who passed away on June 12, 2024. Kecia was a kind and loving soul, who brought joy and warmth to all who knew her. Her departure has left a void in our hearts that can never be filled.

Kecia was born June 13, 1967, in Kingsburg, California, to Will and Donna Lee (Williams) Thornburg. She graduated from Selma High School in 1985, where Kecia met her first love, Rick Flores. They married on December 14, 1985. They lived in Kingsburg, CA for a few years and then moved to Selma, CA. Kecia's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She cherished every moment shared with her loved ones, creating beautiful memories that will forever be treasured. Whether it was gathering around the dinner table, embarking on family adventures, or simply enjoying each other's company, Kecia thrived in the presence of her family. She was a loving mother to her daughters Nichole and Jacqueline and a cherished grandmother to Zack, Jacob, Alexandria, and Jayce.

Her kindness and affection knew no bounds. Kecia had a genuine and compassionate spirit that touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She had an innate ability to make others feel loved and valued, always offering a listening ear and supportive words of wisdom. Her selflessness and empathy inspired those around her. Kecia's legacy will live on through the love she shared and the lives she touched. While we grieve her loss, we take solace in the beautiful memories she leaves behind. She will forever remain in our hearts as a beacon of love and
kindness until we meet again.

Kecia was a Medical Assistant for over 25 years and worked at Logan Street Medical Group for Dr. Louie for most of those years. Her smile made going to the doctor a little easier.

Kecia is survived by her life partner TJ Jauch from Fresno, CA, daughters, Nichole Lopez and Jacqueline Flores of Selma, CA, her beloved grandchildren Zack, Jacob, Alexandria, and Jayce of Selma, CA, her Mother Donna Baker (Jerry) of Selma, CA, her siblings Lori (Keven) Page from Madera, CA, Scott (Fphil) Thornburg from Santa Cruz, CA, stepsister Tayna (Kelly) Hinton from Selma, CA, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends whom she loved dearly. Kecia was preceded in death by her first love Rick Flores, her father Will Thornburg, stepfather
Kelton Schmidt, grandparents Jesse and Nina Williams, and Norton and Hazel Woods.
