Our beloved sister Kelly Leigh went to be with her Lord April 22, 2026. Kelly was born February 1, 1961, to the proud parents Bee and Connie Klepper. Kelly’s life would be filled with many adventures and a learning experience for her entire family.

Kelly was enrolled at Kelso school in Fresno at the age of two. Our parents strived to give her every opportunity to learn and excel at all levels throughout her life, and she excelled in all her endeavors. She was a participant in the Special Olympics for many years and in 1980 she was a member of the State Bowling Championship team. Winning was always a plus to sis, being part of the Special Olympics was the reward for her.

Kelly was a big cheerleader for all her nieces and nephews at any event they were a part of. She loved watching all the sporting events, dance recitals and all other events with enthusiasm and usually loudly. Those she cheered for were always there for her when she needed a hug. Kelly loved to dance. Not always with the Arthur Murray elegance, but with the moves and nuances that made her special when she was wound up and moving. As her siblings, we all have our special memories of Kelly, but one we all agree on was her memory. If there were a question about what actor played what part in what movie or TV show, it was Kelly that provided the answer. When we would forget a relative’s name from family it was Kelly that provided the answer. Her memory also played a large role in one of her favorite pastimes and that was any sporting event on TV. She would hoot and holler at the players and plays and could relay that to anyone that would listen.

Kelly was a loving sister to each of us, and to me I called her Slick. That word was her warning that the time to settle down was at hand and she usually did. Often, if others were with us, she would turn to them and say, “That’s what Ron calls me when I’m bad.” Kelly taught us love, patience, understanding and a deep sense of family that will live on through everyone that knew her.

Kelly is survived by her sisters Kathy Farmer, husband Mike; Shelley Little, husband Mike; and brother Ron Klepper. All her nieces and nephews will have their own special memories of their Aunt Kelly. Special thanks to Jill Russo for all her love and caring for our sis Kelly and the Feland House care providers.
