Obituary

Koko was born on June 20th, 1955, in Beirut Lebanon to Panos and Vartoui Havandjian.

He was the 6th of 7 children.

In 1971 he moved to Los Angeles to continue his education.

He chose the career path as a jeweler where he started his own business in early 1980s.

His professionalism was appreciated by his customers because he made each one of them feel special.

He met his wife Sona in 1989 and were married a year later and had a beautiful life for 36 years.

Together they raised 2 wonderful children, Serje and Lara. He was very proud of both his children and all their accomplishments. He loved to talk about them.

His family grew in 2021 when Serje married Christina and blessed Koko with a beautiful Granddaughter Elise in 2024. He cherished time spent with his family especially his little Elise.

His favorite pastime was playing Blot as well as getting together and socializing with his many good friends.

He was a huge fan of James Bond movies. So much so that some of us renamed him 007…those of you who know…..know. Some of his cousins would even call him Omar Shariff because of his resemblance and he would provide them all with his typical Koko smile. He was also known for his infamous mustache.

He enjoyed driving to the beach cities and spending the day there.

He loved to travel especially when he and Sona went to Armenia in 2019. He loved it so much that he was determined to go back again one day.

He loved to sing and recite Armenian poetry.

Koko was loved and respected by so many people that were a part of his life.

We will be celebrating Koko's life at Yerevan Restaurant.

The Lord calls us home. May our hearts and minds be at peace knowing that Koko is in heaven and is glorious without any pain and suffering.

On behalf of the Havandjian and extended families, we'd like to thank you all for being such a special part of his life. We are and will forever be grateful.
