LaVon Snarr East passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025.  She was 92 years old and a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She was born on March 21, 1932 in Ogden, Utah to Newell Snarr and Jessie Johnson Snarr.  LaVon attended Ogden High School and upon graduation went to work for the Defense Depot in Ogden.

She married Ramon East on November 3, 1950.  They were married for 67 years.  She worked in the Ogden, Utah and Clovis, California public schools retiring after over 30 years.

LaVon was preceded in death by her husband Ramon, her parents, her brother and two sisters.  She is survived by her five children, Janet Hambleton (Brent), Blaine East (Laura), Patricia Croutch (Robert), Karen Stonhaus (Bill), Douglas East (Kristen), 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one sister Maurine Naisbitt.

A special thanks for the caregivers at The Terraces at San Joaquin Gardens where mom spent the last 2 ½ years.

A memorial service will be held at Farewell Funeral Service, 660 W. Locust Ave, Suite 101, Fresno, CA on Monday March 24, 2025 at 11:00 am. Internment will be held at the Clovis Cemetery.
