Leona Wayment Larsen, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, in Henderson, NV.

She was born on January 30, 1933, in Ogden, UT to Leon and Helen Wayment. Raised in Butte MT, she was a lifelong devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She proudly served an LDS mission to Mexico in her 20's and attended BYU upon her return.  In her golden years she and her husband Gordon also served a mission to Tempe AZ.

Leona moved to Fresno, CA in 1969.  She worked for many years at Insight Vision Center, taking pride in working under 3 successions of physicians, working until age 87.

She was loved by many in the Fresno/Clovis community for her kind heart, bright smile, and devoted faith.

She was preceded in death by her dear husband Gordon Einar Larsen and a great grandson, Bennett Michael Dill. She is survived by her son, Wayne Douglas Dill and his wife Katherine and Daughter Jan Dill Hall and her husband Marc.

She was the grandmother to Michael (spouse Jenny) Dill, Kevin (spouse Bailey) Dill, Lara (spouse Tyson) Miller, Bryan (spouse Mandy) Hall, Melody (spouse Calvin) Garrett and Thomas Hall. She was also the great grandmother to 10.

Visitation will be held at Farewell Funeral Service on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A private family Burial Service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Clovis Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 220 N. Peach Ave. in Clovis, CA on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
