Leonard J. Lujan passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on April 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 12, 1944, to Vera Gudino, Leonard was the third oldest of ten children. He grew up in Selma, California, and attended Selma High School, where he met the love of his life, Olivia Ortega.
Leonard and Olivia shared a remarkable 60-year marriage, building a beautiful life together and raising three children: Lisa, Lennie, and Lori. Their love and legacy extended to nine beloved grandchildren, each of whom brought great pride and joy to Leonard's life.
Leonard dedicated over 30 years of service to the California Highway Patrol, a career marked by integrity, commitment, and a deep sense of duty. After retiring from the CHP, he continued to serve his community by working at the federal building for more than a decade.
Family was everything to Leonard. His home was a place of warmth, love, and laughter—a true anchor for those closest to him. He was a devoted husband, a proud father and grandfather, and a cherished brother and friend. His gentle spirit, strong values, and unwavering love will continue to live on through those who knew and loved him.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the compassionate care Leonard received in his final days. He will be missed dearly by all who had the honor of knowing him.
