Fresno
Linda Clarke Breslin, 82, passed away on October 16, 2024, in Alameda County Ca. Born on December 12, 1941, to Theodore Bjorn Weholt and Edna Mae (Clarke) Weholt. Linda lived a life filled with love, kindness, laughter and hard work. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, confidant and friend whose presence will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur "Bud" Breslin, a daughter Debra Merrill, her parents Dr. Weholt (Chowchilla) Edna Weholt (Fresno), a son Gary Breslin (Rochester N.Y.) her sister Shelley Sonksen (Fresno), and her beloved nephew Michael Wright (Fresno).
Linda is survived by her loving children: Shelley (Merrill) Meller (Kevin), Theodore (Ted) Henderson (Debbie), Howard Breslin (Diane) & Johnny Merrill. She was a proud grandmother to Laura, Kathryn, J.R., Sean, Matthew, Elisa and David. And a Great Grandmother to Olivia and Ellison.
Linda was a resident of Fresno for 50 years. She was a bookkeeper to many loyal customers. Linda was also involved in East Fresno Kiwanis, for many years. She looked forward to participating in their charitable events. Mom was heavily involved with "Break the Barriers" not only being their bookkeeper but travelling with them to China to spread awareness that special needs children and adults can and should live among society.
In her free-time she loved helping others, spoiling her grandchildren, cooking for the entire family and all of their dogs, the chaos brought her joy and comfort. We will miss her generosity and her legendary laughter.
A Memorial Service will be held at Farewell Funeral Service 660 W. Locust Ave, Fresno. Friday November 15, 2024 at 11am. Her family appreciates the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Linda's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
