Linda Carol Hannah was born on December 22, 1938, in Hanford, California, to William P. and Dorothy L. Cackler. She passed away peacefully at her home in Clovis, California, on July 29, 2026.

Linda grew up in Hanford as one of four sisters. She attended Hanford High School, where she enjoyed dancing and cheerleading and excelled academically and as a competitive swimmer. After graduating, she attended Fresno State to pursue a degree in education, with the dream of becoming a teacher.

While attending Fresno State, Linda met the love of her life, Jack Hannah. They were married in 1960 and shared 62 wonderful years together, building a life centered on faith, family, and love. Together they raised three children and were blessed with nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of whom brought Linda immense joy.

After marrying Jack, Linda chose to dedicate herself to being a stay-at-home mom, pouring her love and energy into raising their three children. Her family was always her greatest joy and highest priority. As her children grew older, she returned to the classroom and fulfilled her passion for teaching. She spent more than 20 years as a kindergarten teacher at Thomas Elementary School in the Fresno Unified School District, where she touched the lives of countless young students with her patience, kindness, and gentle spirit.

Whether at home or in the classroom, Linda lived a life of quiet service. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, faithful friend, and caring teacher. Her unwavering faith guided the way she loved and served others. She found joy in spending time with her family, celebrating life's milestones, and investing in the lives of everyone around her.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Jack Hannah; her parents, William P. and Dorothy L. Cackler; her sister, Janet Sharp; her brother-in-law, Sid Sharp; and her beloved son-in-law, Russell Pate.

She is lovingly survived by her sisters, Diane Fake (Gordon Fake) and Donna Yeary (Wes Yeary), her son, David Hannah (children Alisha Evergreen and James Hannah); her daughter, Melinda Pate, widow of the late Russell Pate (children Kimberly Chavez and Wyatt Pate); and her daughter, Julie Nabors (Brent Nabors; children Hannah Soechting, Seth Nabors, Abigail Pereira, Jack Nabors, and Tobias Nabors), daughter by choice Christina Mills (John Mills), and six great grandchildren. She had many nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and former students whose lives she touched.

Linda's legacy is one of faith, love, kindness, and selfless service. She leaves behind a family who adored her, students whose lives she helped shape, and friends who were touched by her gentle spirit. Though she will be deeply missed, her example of grace and unconditional love will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A memorial service celebrating Linda's life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Community Church, 4620 E. Nees Ave., Clovis, CA 93611. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather and celebrate her life and the lasting legacy she leaves behind.
