Lorenza Gonzales Osuna, affectionately known as Lori, was born on August 10, 1930, in Fresno County. She was the eldest daughter of Fermin and Rosa Gonzales.
Lori was a teenager when the family moved to a ranch in Bowles (Easton) where she worked on the family grape vineyard ranch. She attended Fowler High School for one year before leaving to care for her younger siblings. As an adult, Lori attended ABC Vocational College.
Lori was employed at Roma Winery in 1960 and worked at Gottschalks for many years in retail.
Lori became a member of The Bethesda Churches in 2011 and enjoyed praise and worship as well as fellowship with the members.
Lori enjoyed music, dancing, crocheting, crossword puzzles, traveling and watching Lifetime movies. She loved spending time with family and entertaining in her home.
Lori was blessed with a long full life and spent the last 8 1/2 years living with her daughter Florence and her family. She will be remembered for her resilience and strength.
Lori peacefully passed away at the age of 93, on March 7, 2024 at home with her family. At the time of her passing, she was the widow of Abraham Osuna. They shared 8 years of marriage together in Madera, CA until his passing in 2008.
Lori was preceded in death by first husband Manuel Ponce Sr; life partner, Wilfredo Andino Baez; son, Robert Ponce; grandson, Robert Ponce Jr., brothers Frank, Max, Robert, Dan and Fermin Jr. Gonzales and sister, Elizabeth Wright.
Lori is survived by her children: Virginia Aguilar, Manuel Ponce Jr and spouse Sandra, Christine Ratliff, Larry Ponce and spouse Dee Dee and Florence Moore and spouse George; four sisters, Mary Marez, Hope Carillo, Esther Herrera, Debra Gonzales; one brother, Samuel Gonzales; 17 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren.
