Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mom, Marjorie (Marge) E. (Warren) Goold, who left us peacefully on March 26th, 2025 at 93 years old. Marge was a beloved parent, Granny, Aunt and friend known for her kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication to her family and church community.

Marge was born on June 10, 1931 in Blue Island, IL to James and Ethel (Fay) Warren. She grew up in a loving household alongside her siblings James and Evelyn.

Marge was married to Leon Goold until 1973.  Together they had 4 children: Dawn (Wayne) Kaneyuki, Candy Baker, Tracy Goold and Kelly (Brett) Smith. Marge was a devoted parent, always putting her family first and creating a home filled with love and laughter.

In addition to her family, Marge had a wide circle of friends and was cherished by all who knew her.   She enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, being a Granny to her grandkids and great grandkids and enjoying her church family.  Her presence will be deeply missed.

Marge leaves behind a legacy of independence, living life and loving God with everything in her.   In her younger years, she loved to bake, chaperon on band/youth group trips, travel in Europe with her son in the Military, visit her daughters in California and later Africa with her Church group. Once her Grandkids were born, she was their loving Granny.  A name she chose to mimic her own wonderful memories of her Granny, growing up as a child.  She supported everyone with her prayers and moral support.  Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by her kindness and generosity.

Those left to remember her wonderful life, memory and example are her kids: Dawn (Wayne) Kaneyuki, Candy Baker, Tracy Goold & Kelly (Brett) Smith.  Her Grandkids: Ashley (Omar Zinanhua) Lappies, Alyssa (Cory) Williams, Brandon Baker, Larrin (Christina) Baker, Renae (Jesse Harden) Smith, Kaytlin (Nick) Clemmons.  Her Great Grandkids: Jordan Lappies, Ari & Kenji Williams, Madelyn and Mila Baker, Leland & Shiloh Baker,  Bailey, Brinsley & Bradley Clemmons, as well as many fur babies.

Marge was preceded in death by parents, James and Ethel Warren; infant brother Stanley Warren; brother, James Warren; Sister, Eveyln Wittick.

Celebration to honor Marge's life will be held on April 11th, 2025 @ 10am in the GL Johnson Chapel at People's Church, Fresno California.  Reception to follow in the Ministry Center Theater/HUB.

Rest in peace, Mom. You will be forever loved and remembered.
